Borderlands 2 leaked gameplay news

Welcome back from the long weekend, hope you enjoyed it and had plenty of time for uninterrupted gaming.

Borderlands 2

Borderlands was game of the year in 2010, the game was nearly perfect and only the harshest of critics found flaws or aspects of the game they disliked. So when it was announced that there would not only be a Borderlands 2 but a Borderlands 2 in 2012 I instantly turned into an excited little kid. Furthermore as of a couple days ago, there is leaked gameplay of Borderlands 2. It shows new characters, new skills, art, weaponry, enemies, bosses, quests, et cetera. The video is low quality and most camera based videos that look like that I wouldn’t watch for 10 seconds, but the developers of Borderlands 2 did something so awesome that I just couldn’t pull myself from it. 

It is the same old game but brand new. They found the color green for grass, and they’ve introduced ice and water! Exciting right? Well I think so. The view of the world seen in the leaked video seems to be truly open. The first Borderlands offered a lot of freedom but it wasn’t indefinite, it seems they changed that in Borderlands 2. They have added a whole bunch of new weapons and ammunition types, miniguns, LMGs, miniature rocket launchers, the list goes on. They have also changed up the quests and story. A new villain, Handsome Jack, is introduced and some quests have a greater level of diversity. 

Salvador (Gunzerker)

There are 4 all new characters, from the video we learn of Salvador the Gunzerker, and Maya the Siren. We do get a quick look at the skill tree for Salvador in the video, skills like: Out of Bubblegum, Sexual Tyrannosaurus, I’m the Juggernaut, Divergent Likeness, Overheat and more. If you pay attention closely in the video you can see what the skills do. I’m not going to list them all but the Gunzerker specializes in duel wielding guns and a skill like Overheat will steadily increase your weapons fire rate until it is out of ammo or overheats. All we really learn about Maya from the video is that she is the Siren and what her character will look like. Did you love the characters from the first Borderlands? Well they are back. Roland appears as a captured NPC in the video and the announcer claimed the others would appear as well.

Borderlands 2 is going to be awesome, the developers are emphasizing co-op while still making the game enjoyable for a single player. From the looks of it, this will be a sequel to grab. It may even steal the title, Game of the Year again but it is far too early to tell. As more news develops on Borderlands 2, we will certainly bring it to you as we enjoy learning about the game just as much as you.

The footage isn't supposed to be out there, the developers don't want the public to see it and the purpose of the article isn't to share it but to share whats going to be happening in Borderlands 2.
