Nintendo releases news about the 3DS' newest addon (the boat)

Nintedo's Boat!
Nintendo has announced that its boat will be released December 10, 2011 in Japan (probably a couple days later in the U.S. and European markets). The boat as it has been termed is an attachable device for the Nintendo 3DS portable gaming device. It serves to mainly function as a second analog stick but we have also heard rumors that it will be adding an additional right trigger button (like R1 and R2). Possibly because your fingers will be so far from the A, B, X, and Y keys.

The boat certainly makes the already rough design of the Nintendo 3DS even more hideous and add on to that the fact that its going to cost you another 20 dollars just to play some games makes it even less appealing. Additionally the boat will require a single triple A battery to work meaning that mid fight you may find yourself doing that “the batteries in my mouse just died dance around the house looking for another battery”.
